Panasonic KX-TES824 Telephone System

The Panasonic KX-TES824 Advanced Hybrid Telephone System comes pre-configured to support up to 3 analogue lines and 8 internal extensions. The KX-TES824, however, can be easily expanded to support up to 8 analogue lines and 24 internal extensions.  Features include group working, system speed dials, personal speed dials, internal/external music-on-hold, paging and auto-attendant (DISA). The Panasonic KXTES824 allows connection of a variety of typical analogue communication devices such as cordless phones, answering machines, credit card verifiers (PDQ), fax machines, and any other device that works with standard telephone lines, meaning that you do not need to purchase separate BT lines for these devices.

Note: this system requires at least one Panasonic KX-T7730 display phone for programming (shown below), all other handsets can be KX-T handsets or standard corded/cordless phones.

Automatic Attendant (DISA)
The KX-TES 824 supports 'DISA' - Direct Inward System Access - an auto-attendant service with three levels of automatic greetings to help direct incoming callers to the appropriate department or extension. An example of the first level of greetings would be: "Thank you for calling Jargon Business Systems. To speak to SALES press 1, to speak to ACCOUNTS press 2, or for all other enquiries please press 3."  An example of the second level of auto-attendant would be if the caller selects 1 for SALES and is then presented with a further choice of options: "Thank you for choosing SALES. To place an order press 1, or to check an existing order press 2".

Fax Detection
When auto-attendant (DISA) is activated, the system can detect an incoming fax transmission and route the call directly to your fax machine. This means that you will no longer need to consider purchasing a dedicated fax line with its own telephone number as you can use all lines for fax or normal voice calls. Of course the system can be configured so that a dedicated fax line is routed directly to your fax machine but you would still be able to use the line for outgoing calls.
